We pride ourselves on listening to our customers and working together with them to continuously update the product to fit their needs. Listed here are just a few of the specific features in Picas that work great for your type of industry.

BROKER INTEGRATIONS

Broker

The Picas B2B Broker Integrations offering is like no one else in the industry. We are an industry leader in connecting our customers with their brokers. We have integrated with all the major brokers in the industry. This enables you to send availability periodically to brokers. At the same time, orders and order acknowledgments are all sent electronically, bypassing traditional methods such as e-mail, fax, and phone. Orders stream into the system without user intervention, immediately reserving availability.
VENDOR INTEGRATIONS

BVendor Integrations

The Picas B2B Vendor Integrations offering is like no one else in the industry. We have integrated with Syngenta Flower and Ball Selecta. More will be coming soon! This enables vendor availability to be delivered right to your Picas system and base your rooted availability on the vendor’s availability. Also, purchase orders and purchase order confirmations are all sent electronically, bypassing traditional methods such as e-mail, fax, and phone.
PLANTING LINES

Planting Lines

The planting line is used for planning and executing your weekly sowing work. The planning phase involves assigning items to a particular line and day. The actual sowing is managed using a workstation on the line to count sown trays, generate container labels, and tracks seed lots. With the planting line, the prep work for sowing is greatly reduced and last minute customer order and additions can be handled with ease. Many of our planting lines are integrated with a print-and-apply machine for the labels..
DATA COLLECTION

Data Collection

Using portable handheld devices, information can be gathered right in the greenhouse or outside in the field. This saves endless hours of keying information into the system based on handwritten notes which are often entered incorrectly. There are many functions available such as sowing, sticking, transplanting, adjustments, physical counts, area moves, and germ rate adjustments. Data collection is key to keeping information up-to-date and accurate.
RFID

RFID

Picas supports the use of RFID technology to track inventory. It is completely integrated with RFID readers that collect data such as employee information, lot information, sticking counts, and order verification.
MASTERTAG & JOHN HENRY TAG INTEGRATIONS

MasterTag & John Henry Tag Integrations

These integrations allow seamless communication between you and your tag supplier. You can communicate the tag demand to the vendor so that tags are shipped to you at the right time. Also, there are options to provide a drop ship program to completely avoid managing your own tag inventory.
FEDEX & UPS INTEGRATIONS

Small Package Carrier Workspace

With this workspace, you are able to ship packages directly from Picas using carriers such as FedEx, UPS, and OnTrac. The integration prints shipping labels and retrieves tracking numbers without re-keying the information into another system.
SORTING/PACKING

Shipping Line

Picas Shipping line functions make the pulling and shipping process more efficient and error free. First, you are able to pull in by batch instead of by order. Using the Picas inventory by area, you can route pullers through the greenhouse in an efficient manner. Once product is pulled, the sorting function allows you to quickly sort the product into individual orders. After sorting, verification functions ensure that orders have been correctly put together. Finally, packing functions allow on-demand printing of shipping paperwork and labels.
TRUCK ROUTING

Trip Builder

Trip Builder gives you the ability to select orders in Picas and view them as informative points on a map. You can point and click to graphically build a trip with selected orders. As you add orders to a trip, costs and mileage are updated in real time allowing you to evaluate different routing scenarios. PC Miler is used to optimize stops and mileage to save time and money as well as providing drivers with turn-by-turn instructions.
ASSORTMENTS & COMBINATIONS

Assortments & Combinations

Assortments allow customer orders to be placed at a generic level while the inventory is depleted at a more specific level. Typically assortments are setup by genus or by container size. For greenhouses with a diverse customer base, assortments make managing inventory simple. Combinations are items that contain multiple varieties in one container. Picas supports the entire production process, which involves producing or purchasing the individual items and then combining them into one container at transplant.
READY DATE & CROP STATUS

Crop Status

Crop status provides a detailed availability for your customers. Since certain customers require certain specifications, crop status allows the crop inventory to be assigned a status such as full color, cracking color, budding, and bloom. When customers place orders, they can view your inventory of each status and order accordingly.

TRANSPLANT LINE

Transplant Line

The transplant line makes transplanting more efficient and accurate. During planning, crops are first assigned to specific lines based on line capacities. During transplanting, workstations on the lines are used to choose what is being transplanted. Lastly, transplanted units are counted using a photo eye. In the end, the weekly process of transplanting is just smarter.
EDI

EDI

EDI is utilized to send key documents such as acknowledgments, ASN’s, and invoices to customers. It is also used to import orders and remittance advice. Picas supports all the major big box stores including many smaller stores. There are currently a total of 21 EDI partners.
PAY BY SCAN/CONSIGNMENT

Pay by Scan/Consignment

Picas supports selling products on consignment. Whether it’s a big box store or a garden center, Picas gives you the tools to know what was shipped to a store, sold at the store, and dumped at the store. Ultimately, you know the inventory at each store and most importantly, what to bill each store. With big box stores, EDI documents are leveraged to simplify the process.
RACK CONFIGURATION

Rack Configuration

Rack configurations are calculated for each order considering the crop height as well as the racks shelf height and top shelf height.
REPLENISHMENT

Clarity

Clarity is a big box retail replenishment analysis tool that integrates with Picas. It uses sales data from stores along with store properties to determine how to replenish each store and creates replenishment orders based on your analysis for export to Picas or your order system. Clarity replaces mountains of spreadsheets by bringing together all the sales, shipping, and order data into one place for analysis.
RACK TRACKING

Rack Tracking

With rack tracking, racks are scanned out during shipping and scanned in when returned. As a result, a rack balance is available for each shipping destination. This information can be used when routing trucks so that empty racks can be picked up in order to be reused. In the end, racks are not lost and empty racks are utilized to their fullest.
