The Picas program has eight core modules, each one focusing on a different aspect of your business. Picas modules seamlessly talk to one another, eliminating the need for double entry. Please ask for a demonstration if you are interested in viewing live functionality of a particular feature.
Picas Order Entry is the most advanced order management program in this industry to date. This module allows you to enter customer and speculation orders. With these orders in place, you will find a wide range of tools that will allow you to view your customer’s requirements as well as pull, ship and invoice these orders. This module is packed with functions to allow you to maintain customer information, freight matrices, royalty charges and more. This module also has a number of add-on features like document management, truck routing, and integrations with FedEx, UPS and OnTrac, as well as automated shipping line functions. This module directly interfaces with the Picas Accounts Receivable as well as other third party accounting packages. This module makes handling of customers’ orders manageable even in the busiest of operations.
Key Points:The Picas Inventory module handles the setup of all inventory type items, such as crops and hard goods (boxes, trays, etc). This module is used to setup crop plans (growing cycles) and all of the peripheral data that is needed for a crop plan (product lines, pricing, environments, etc). With the Inventory module, you will setup all of the hard goods that you want to track. You can also attach these hard goods to the crop plans so that Picas can let you know when you will run out of these items (seed, soil, plastic, etc). The Inventory module is also used to setup and report on your rack inventory.
Key Points:Crop Management is the heart of Picas. Here you will control your crop’s growing cycle with functions like stock plants, germ rates, adjustments, physical counts, material and activity requirements, and much more. This module is filled with reports that allow you to see availability, capacity planning, crop analysis, germ rates, planned vs. actual and more. Based off production schedules, Picas will tell you what you need to plant or transplant every week. You can update your actual plantings via the Sowing and Transplanting verification screen. While the Crop Management module allows you to update your production inventory manually, the Data Collection module allows you to perform these same functions via a portable hand held unit. This module has a direct interface with the Picas Purchase Order module to help you create purchase orders for materials you need to order.
Key Points:While the main function of this module is to generate purchase orders to your suppliers, you will also find many added functions that will help you to keep this process simple. Some of these functions include maintaining your vendors and your vendor’s items, requisitions, receiving functions, returns and document management. This module interfaces with the crop management module to allow you to quickly create purchase orders from material requirements. There is also an interface with the Picas Account Payable module that allows you to quickly match up vendor invoices against product receipts. As with all Picas modules, there are a number of reports, inquiries, workspaces and utilities that will allow you to easily evaluate and maintain purchase order information.
Key Points:Picas Sales Analysis provides you with the tools to analyze your customers and products profitability while giving you the information you need to make critical business decisions. Just a few of the reports currently available are Sales Summary, Sales Analysis, Sales Detail, Sales Comparison, Expected vs. Sold, Material Sales, Invoice Detail and Summary, Substitution Analysis, Freight Analysis, Credit Analysis, and Volume Analysis
Key Points:Discover the conveniences of having an accounting program that is tailored around the Greenhouse Industry. In the Accounts Receivable module the current reports available are Aging, Activity, Open Credit, Cost Analysis, Distribution, Invoice Summary, Journals, and Statements.
Based on the same functionality as the rest of the Picas modules, Accounts Payable gives you the tools you need to accurately manage your payables. Reports that can be generated are Account Analysis, Aging, Cash Required, Check Register, Cost Analysis, Distribution, Journal, OnHold, Open Item, and Vendor Activity.
This module gives the functions you would expect from a General Ledger program plus the ability to create your own statement layouts. We also give you the flexibility to import data from other Accounting Software if you choose to not purchase Picas AR or AP. The reports available are Account Analysis, Account Listing, Budget Comparison, Category Analysis, Category Listing, Journal Entries, Source Listing, and Trial Balance.
Key Points:We have partnered with Cincinnati Time Systems to build the most efficient, full featured Labor Tracking System for the Greenhouse industry.
Here are just a few of the many benefits that Picas Labor Tracking provides:
Picas Labor Tracking can be purchased as a stand alone product, and does not require any other Picas modules to fully function. However, if you have or are considering purchasing other Picas modules, Picas Labor Tracking will seamlessly integrate with ALL modules and Picas features.
Using portable handheld devices, information can be gathered right in the greenhouse or outside in the field. This saves endless hours of keying information into the system based on handwritten notes which are often entered incorrectly. There are many functions available such as sowing, sticking, transplanting, adjustments, physical counts, area moves, and germ rate adjustments. Data collection is key to keeping information up-to-date and accurate.
Data Collection Functions Include:
